5 Tips to Prevent Stress in Your Life

Everyone deals with stress at some point in their lives and can feel it creeping up on them at home, in the workplace, or elsewhere. The negative effects of stress can feel constricting and controlling, but it is possible to break free from the tension. Here are some stress prevention tips you can follow that can help you deal with stressful periods of life.

1. Get Active

Exercise does not just help you maintain a healthy weight and prevent chronic diseases; it also can help relieve stress and serve as a distraction for a short time. When you work out, you can lower the stress levels in your body. If you exercise at least three or four times a week for 30 minutes, you will feel less anxious. It will be easier to stay motivated if you do an exercise you personally find enjoyable.

2. Look on the Bright Side

If you focus on the positives in your life, you will experience a lot less stress. When you start to feel anxious about something, think of something positive in your life. If you think positive thoughts, the overwhelming feeling of stress will be less impactful.

3. Call a Good Friend

Another way you can reduce the stress in your life is to call a good friend when you feel anxious. Be completely honest with your friend and tell them what has been stressing you out lately. Sometimes a good conversation with someone you know can help you feel better about things and they may even offer some valuable advice in the process.

4. Try Meditation

Meditation only takes about 10 minutes out of your day and can help you relieve a lot of stress. Before you start your day, sit in a quiet place in your home and meditate. Close your eyes and focus your mind on a single object or thought for about 10 minutes. Afterward, you should feel more calm and start the day out on the right foot.

5. Get a Professional Massage

If you have been experiencing a lot of stress lately, you should think about getting a professional massage at a medi spa in Los Angeles. A professional massage therapist will know exactly what pressure points to hit to relieve tension. You can just relax on the table as the massage therapist massages all of your stress away.

Being stressed out is not easy, but it is manageable. Give these tips a try and see if any of them can help you can deal with the stressful situations that arise in your life.

Wrinkles? Know Your Solutions!

Are wrinkles getting you down? Never fear. We offer a variety of anti-wrinkle treatments here at our Los Angeles medspa, including BELOTERO BALANCE® wrinkle filler and various laser treatments. When genetics, environmental factors, or bad habits leave you feeling less than your best, we can help. We can show you how to use topical creams, lasers, and injectable fillers to make you feel and look younger.

One offering here is BELOTERO BALANCE®, a wrinkle filler which, when injected, instantly plumps and adds volume to the areas where natural dermal volumizers and moisturizers such as hyaluronic acid have diminished. BELOTERO BALANCE® seems to magically turn back the hands of time and lets your inner beauty shine through. You’ll look so good it’ll be hard for you to stop smiling. That, too, will help to make you look younger and more vibrant. It makes the signs of aging disappear for up to 18 months.

Three Benefits of Titan Laser Skin Therapy

If you’re looking for skin tightening solutions in Los Angeles, Titan Laser skin therapy is one of the best options around. Titan is the most precise and scientific advancement in laser technology currently available. It works wonders on common “problem areas” like the face, neck, jawline, chin, abdomen, arms, and thighs.

Some of the benefits you are guaranteed when you use the Titan technique include:

• Quick work with no down time. You’ll be back out enjoying life in no time at all.

• The Titan technique is specially designed to trigger your body’s natural healing mechanisms in order to quickly restore your natural collagen levels.

• The Titan technique will quickly and painlessly target all of the “problem” areas on your face, fixing them instantly with scientific precision.

As noted above, the Titan laser operation is quick, efficient, and completely painless. Skin tightening in Los Angeles has never been easier or more commonly available, all thanks to the new Titan system.

Best of all, the Titan process is laser guided, which makes for added precision, reliability, and comfort. The process works by stimulating collagen levels in the deep tissues of your skin. The laser passes over the area, causing the affected area to begin to repair itself by replenishing its store of collagen. Once the laser passes over the area, your body takes over and does the rest of the work itself.

If you’ve been searching for a way to look and feel younger, the new Titan laser procedure is simply the best, most modern, and most efficient way to take years off your skin. Schedule a consultation today, and see for yourself what the world of beauty and fashion is raving about.

What are Chemical Peels, Anyway?

Chemical peels might sound like a scary process, but let us put your fears to rest. Our medi spa in Los Angeles performs chemical peels quite frequently and our clients can tell anyone it is not what it may sound like – it is, in fact, a beneficial skin treatment that soothes the skin and helps you look younger. A chemical peel removes the outer layers of skin to smooth it out and remove unsightly blemishes from the face, hands, neck and back. A chemical peel is a non-invasive procedure.

Chemical peels treat skin disorders such as acne, scars, pitting, and discolorations of the skin or uneven skin tones, sun damage, aging wrinkles and a host of other skin ailments. They typically use phenol, trichloroacetic acid, salicylic acid and alpha-hydroxyl acid, depending upon what the doctor feels is best for that individual client. Chemical peels refer to a number of chemical treatments that rejuvenate and exfoliate the skin. They are widely used by many clients here in Studio City, and the results speak for themselves.

If you’re interested in a chemical peel, contact Dr. Berkley Skin + Body for a free consultation. We are a professional and experienced medspa in Los Angeles, and we’re here to help you look and feel your best!

Dr. Berkley Skin + Body Medspa in Los Angeles Now Offers CO₂ Laser Skin Treatments!

The CO laser skin resurfacing system is universally suited for fractional and ablative treatments. The unique scanning technology of the CO laser provides significant results in fractional laser therapy. A cold air cooling attached directly to the scanner improves patient comfort during the treatment.

The CO laser skin resurfacing system allows for quick and easy fractional treatments. The size and shape of the treated area can be customized by the N.P. So the treatment area always fits perfect without overlapping. This makes the treatment of large or complex areas very easy. Spot density, pulse width and energy are flexibly adjustable to the individual findings.

To drastically improve patient comfort, a cold air cooling system is attached directly to the scanner. With the addition of this device the risk of side-effects are reduced, and even darker skin types can be treated gently and safely.

In clinical studies of the CO2 skin resurfacing treatments published in February 2009 by Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, it was shown that in more than 32 patients undergoing treatment for wrinkles and pigment a greater than 50% improvement was noticed in nearly all the patients. In our clinical experience of skin tightening in Los Angeles, results vary from patient to patient, with some patients having their wrinkles completely removed while others have had significant smoothing of the wrinkles.

Q: How do CO2 laser skin resurfacing treatments work?
A: With facial resurfacing, a high-energy beam of CO2, light is used to remove/reduce fine lines, wrinkles, scars, dark spots and other skin lesions by removing the skin layer by layer. This process also utilizes intense thermal stimulation to increase the underlying collagen to develop, increasing elasticity and providing support for the skin.

Q: Can CO2 laser skin resurfacing technology be used less invasively for treating milder indications?
A: With our CO2 laser technology, skin rejuvenation is so precise that you can customize each treatment in accordance with the condition and extent of skin damage, and skin type.

Q: What results can I expect?
A: CO2 treatments will restore a patient’s skin to a healthy state, almost as if the skin that has not experienced sun damage or scarring.

The CO2 laser can also be used on the neck, chest and hands for the removal of sun damage and even age spots. CO2 lasers work very well for acne scars as well. The number of treatments required can vary depending upon the severity of acne scars, skin color, downtime etc.
